Free Dog!!!

Not Purchased At ALDI

So I found this dog wandering around my neighborhood and I'm trying to find it a home but I need to post some pics somewhere and then it dawned on me - I can work two angles today - one, a solid review and two, trying to find a home for this dog. So today I give you a win/win - Shep Premium Cuts With Beef in Sauce dog food and a free to a good home pup!

Looks Better Than ALDI Chili

I found this dog the other day - more at the bottom of this post - and as it turns out she's sort of a picky eater. When she was starving the dry kibble I feed my other dogs was fine but after a week of that she started to turn her nose up at it. Curses! I finicky stray?!?! Just my luck. Well ALDI to the rescue! I found this Shep dog food at ALDI for only $.50 a can so I decided to give it a whirl.

Still Looking Better Than The Chili

I scooped a fairly generous amount into her bowl. It's weird cubes and gravy is pretty gross but it's dog food so I figured it was suppose to look unappetizing to humans. SUCCESS!!

 For ME?!?!

She loved it. She ate every last bit and licked the bowl clean. I label this a win for canines everywhere!

 Don't Mind If I Do!!

I give this Shep Premium Cuts With Beef in Sauce dog food a solid A+. A for the dog eating all of it and plus for being cheap enough to feed to all the stray dogs I bring home!

On to the dog - I was driving home the other night when what do I see laying in the road ahead of me but a dog. As I pull up to it, it gets up and starts limping across the road. So I stop, get out and chase it down. I had some left over quesadilla from dinner so I offered some to the dog. She scarfed it down like she hadn't eaten in ages. She was matted and limping and obviously starving and since I'm a soft touch I scooped her up and took her home. Off the vet the next day where she was groomed, given the once over and vaccinated. Her leg however, would have to wait. It was just popped out of her socket and won't stay in and it's going to require a little surgery. My vet (bless you Dr. Fowler) offered to do it at half price. Since he told me she's not in any pain and she gets around really well, I decided to find her a home with someone who wants a sweet dog and has a couple hundred bucks to spend. I have two dogs and a cat so my house is already a petting zoo so unfortunately she's got to go. But my loss is your gain. She's sweet, got a great temperament, gets along with both dogs and cats and is up to date on all her vaccines. She just needs a little TLC. Here's some pics of her. She's about 7 years old and weighs in at a svelte 8 pounds but Sheps should fix that. Comes complete with bowls, bed, collar, leash and I'll even throw in a couple cans of Shep to get you started.

I give this not purchased at ALDI dog an A++++. A for being super sweet and ++++ for being a great addition to your family.

If you're interested just shoot me an email here on the blog. Thanks!!

  1. have you tried the canned cat food that Aldi sells? I'm curious about trying it for my cat, but have been a little hesitant about getting it.

  2. Sorry this took so long, I'm terrible at blogging - the lady is much more timely. I haven't tried the cat food - my cat and other two dogs get kibble only and not ALDI kibble. That stray loved the heck out of that dog food though so I'm betting your cat would dig it. Let us know and thanks for reading!
