Cheese and Crackers and Crackers and Crackers... -- Port Wine Cheese Cup, 6 Cracker Assortment and Salt Pita Crackers

As you all know from our earlier posts, the Lady hosted an Arbor Mist tasting party. Assuming that anyone who would attend had no food or drink dignity, I decided to stock the party with ALDI snacks. So this review is a three-fer. Happy Farms Port Wine Cheese Cup, Savoritz 6 Cracker Assortment and Savoritz Sea Salt Pita Crackers.

Pita Crackers + Cheese = TADAAAA!!

The pita crackers were okay. They tasted a little stale but were salty and pita-esque. As you can see there was a lot of breakage. They didn't stand up well to the cheese spread and broke quite often. The cheese was delicious. Creamy with Port Wine tartness. After it warmed to room temp it was easily spreadable. And there was a ton of it in the container. The pita crackers were $1.99 and the cheese was $2.19 - bargains.

Now on to what is, to this point, the greatest surprise of my ALDI purchases. The cracker assortment.

Surprise - a resealable container!

The assortment included six different varieties of crackers. Sesame Wheat, Seeded Multigrain, Stone Ground, Rosemary, Poppy Pepper Water and Seven Grain. These crackers were all delicious. Crisp and light. They held up to both the cheese spread and some artichoke dip (not from ALDI). But the big surprise was the resealable package. GENIUS ALDI!! As you can see there are so many crackers you could never finish all of them. Before I opened the box I was concerned about how to store the leftovers but ALDI took care of that for me. The 6 Cracker Assortment was a mere $2.49!! An amazing bargain. I don't know how they do it.

So to wrap up - I'm giving the Savoritz Pita Crackers a D for disappointing, the Happy Farms Cheese Cup an L for would buy again and the Savoritz 6 Cracker Assortment an A for amazing or whatever that stands for.
