Triple Chocolate Creme Cake

Guys, my mom is the best. Without any prompting - she sent us a review for L'Oven Fresh Triple Chocolate Creme Cake! And now I'm blogging it from the Tabernacle in ATL. Technology, America, Apple; life is amazing.

Went shopping at my favorite place to save money, to see what I could cross off my list, before going to one of those glitzy, bells and whistles, stores for what was left. As is typical, I ended up with a few things that were not a part of the original plan. As we were beginning to unload the cart, I spotted the cutest little chocolate bundt cake sitting right there next to the checkout lane. Into the cart it went, and then after thinking better of it, put it back on the shelf. Then back into the cart, after a very convincing argument arose in my head.

That Triple Chocolate Creme cake would be the perfect birthday cake for the man of my house, who celebrates his birthday the day before Thanksgiving. It would have to be that Triple Chocolate Creme cake or no birthday cake at all. Now that just seemed wrong.

The birthday boy liked his first slice so much, he decided to have another. I had to agree. It was quite good. Very chocolaty, nice and moist, with tiny chocolate chips sprinkled on top. I guess those chips were one part of the triple chocolate, with the chocolate glaze and cake being the other two. I complimented the dark chocolate with fresh raspberries I just happened to have in the house (I know, seems highly unlikely, but I did).

No raspberries necessary, this little cake will hold its own, all by itself. I'm giving this cake an "L" for likely will buy again. That is, if they have it on the shelf. I suspect it might be a seasonal item, so if you see it, you better grab it, birthday or not, or you may have to wait till next year. Now there is an argument you can use to allow you to put this little dessert into your cart as well.

    1. My mom saved me a piece when I went home for Thanksgiving, and she is right, this stuff is great! Highly recommend.

I haven't seen a pumpkin bundt cake at our Aldi. I'll keep my eyes peeled for other varieties.

  2. A serving is 1/10 and sky high carbs! That is how yummy this is. I bought two. . . One to freeze. . . but ate both. Like chocolates. You can't each just one, I guess. My hubby is type 1 diabetic and he just has to excercise self control. The frosting is not heavy and the chips are softish but the cake is so good you will wonder why they do not make it bigger.
