Happy Valentine's Day!

Guys, I love Valentine's Day. I LOVE it. This ALDI specialty item is everything I love about Valentine's Day. Let's explore:

1. Red and pink garishly thrown together.
2. Hearts!
3. Foods that are not normally shaped like a heart are shaped like a heart.
4. On February 15th, these are all 50 percent off!

As perfect as it is at being a symbol of Valentine's Day, it is equally as awful at being an ice cream cake. First of all, there is no cake. It's heart-shaped ice cream. The cherry ice cream did not taste like cherry or cream. The whipped cream garnish was very artificial tasting and strangely not nearly as cold as the rest of the cake. The hard chocolate outer shell was gritty. All around, not a pleasant treat. You can see how much we ate from the photo above - it was trashed shortly thereafter.

This Sundae Shoppe Premium Ice Cream Cake gets a D+++++++++++++, disappointing. Bonus points: one point for only being $3 (originally $6), two points for the festive holiday packaging, four points for pink, and six points for heart-shaped!

Stray Thoughts

 - I almost got $3 worth of enjoyment holding the box and opening the box and cutting into the 'cake'
- What if they made a giant peppermint patty that looked just like this? Guys! What if that happened? What would we do? That would be so amazing. Trademark, copyright www.whatsgoodataldi.com.
